Sammy pics....
Hey all,

Been busy editing through something like 1500 images from the Sammy Hagar gigs 2 weeks ago, here's a few personal faves so far.

Vic shredding above, Michael Anthony (top right) singing Running with the Devil and Sammy during his solo on 3 Lock Box. Both Sammy and Vic were shot using a 10D/24-70 2.8 combo while Mikey was shot using a 1DMK2 and a 70-200 2.8 (yep i know Sammy's face is out of focus, it's meant to be with the focal point being his left hand...something different). Hoping to have the pics up next week.

Some more work with Bend Living this week, business profile on Sportsvision who as the name suggests, sell a wide range of sunglasses aimed at the outdoor, sports minded folk amongst other things.

Rock, Families and Weddings
Well I got back from Phoenix late Monday having photographed Sammy Hagar and the Wabos plus The Other Half both there in Phoenix on Sunday night and Saturday night in Devore, CA at the Hyundai Pavilion. I'd just wished someone had told me it was going to be 115 farenheit in Phoenix....a little warm for my liking!!!

2 great shows with Sammy and the Wabos in top form as always, playing 14 of their own songs then The Other Half hit the stage consisting of Sammy and Michael Anthony ( VH bass player ) along with Vic Johnson absolutely shredding on guitar (Eddie who....) and David Lauser holding it all together on drums. Tearing through classic Hagar era Van Halen including Good Enough, Best of Both Worlds and Judgement Day which showcases how great a guitar player Vic is!!!

Whole bunch of photos to edit through which I'll add to my site hopefully next week. If they swing through your town, get out and see them and I'll guarantee you'll have a blast.

I've spent the past 2 days editing the Williams family shoot I did over the Memorial Day holiday weekend which are now online via Pictage who provide such a service. Lovely family, had a great time working with them and I appreciated their hospitality at the end of it feeding me with burgers and fries....thanks again guys.

Photographing Tamara and Steve's wedding this weekend at Sunriver on Saturday while Sunday I think it's some Softball action up at Redmond. A whole bunch of different stuff going on but that's the way I like it.

Hope all's well in your world and keep smiling.

Oops....
Ok so I didn't get off to the best start keeping my news section up to date like I said I would. Moving right along......the past 2 months have been nice and busy shooting a whole range of work.

Wedding wise the year kicked off with Eric and Anne Ottesen's Sunriver Resort wedding which was a great day, lovely family and great friends. We managed to have four seasons in one day with snow, rain, wind, sun you name it. Most importantly they were ecstatic with their images and the video that Ken from Cascades Videography put together.

Next wedding coming up is Tamara and Steve on June 10 which I'm really looking forward to, great couple and should be a lot of fun. From then on it's busy with a host of weddings at Sunriver, Bend and Tumalo.

Completed some work for Bend Living magazine which is a great publication put together here in Bend about all things Central Oregon. Did some work with Melrose Realty, worked with Michelle Alvarado on the Future Filmmakers Festival which showcased the talents of high school filmmakers here in Central Oregon, went down to Tahoe to shoot 2 of Sammy Hagar's Cinco de Mayo shows, a few family portraits also along the way.

This weekend I'm off down to LA and Phoenix to shoot the first 2 shows of Sammy Hagar's "Livin it Up" summer tour. If you've never been to a Sammy gig then you're missing out on the best rock n roll, good time, let's party show imaginable. No one does it like Sammy, Mona, Vic and Dave and along for the ride on this tour is Michael Anthony from Van Halen. Best thing of all is that the band and crew are the nicest people out there and it's always a pleasure hanging out with them!!!

Got in some great skiing in March with "Thursday, EPIC Thursday" being the best day of the season. 40 inches of fresh pow in 48 hours, no wind, cold temps....just great skiing knee deep fresh all day then again the following day.

Anyway, gotta run and get everything together to fly out in the morning. 2 cameras, 3 lenses, 8 gigs worth of CF cards, EPSON P2000 storage device, extra batteries, battery chargers etc etc

All the best,
Todd
